Eight new subsystem maintainers have been promoted for the Ghostty project, marking a significant step in its growth. These maintainers, who have been active since the project's private beta, will oversee various subsystems including Terminal Emulation, GTK, Shell Integration, Font and Rendering, and Discord Bot. The subsystem maintainer model allows for more effective scaling of Ghostty, giving maintainers autonomy to drive their respective areas within the project. This role is voluntary and aims to leverage the maintainers' expertise and enthusiasm without imposing obligatory responsibilities.
